Robbie Wallin

Robbie Wallin is an absolute jack-of-all-trades in the creative sector. Actor, director, presenter, music composer, and theatre maker. After graduating from the Amsterdam University of the Arts, he rapidly built a versatile resume in which all of these disciplines come together.

As a director and composer, Robbie moves effortlessly between raw theatre and grand opera. He directed the performance HARD/T, took on the direction of the Youth Theatre Gala 2025, and recently created the music theatre production Donnie (winner of the Silver Cricket award) for Poldertheater in collaboration with Dutch National Opera & Ballet — supported by a live band. At the end of this year, he will return to the Opera in collaboration with Right About Now for the revival of Lennox.

As a presenter, Robbie is the permanent face for the charities of the Postcode Lottery. In addition to his on-camera work, he is a versatile host on stages throughout the Netherlands. From the main stage at Oerol to the Dag van de Literatuur, Robbie is known for his energetic, witty, and connecting presentation style. His previous hosting credits include the Dutch Theatre Gala 2024 at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, Mensen Zeggen Dingen Late Night at Theater Bellevue, and various programs across the country.

As an actor, Robbie regularly writes and performs in his own shows. Together with Buleshkaj, he created the production Godenzonen. Following successful summer runs at Oerol and De Parade, the performance toured all over the Netherlands, from De Kleine Komedie to the Johan Cruyff ArenA. Furthermore, he performs in productions by companies like de Toneelmakerij (Naar Ndakaaru zwemmen) and alternates between the stage and the screen, with roles in series such as Flikken Rotterdam and Medisch Centrum West.

To complete the creative spectrum, Robbie also makes music as part of the duo Josh&Robs. Producing and performing their own material, the duo released the EP Op een Beetje Geluk and performed at festivals nationwide.

Godenzonen @ De kleine Comedie

Ajax is meer dan een club. Daar zijn Luan, Robbie en Guillano het roerend over eens. De boezemvrienden konden alle drie in de ArenA schitteren, maar kozen het geijkte pad: het theater.
In Godenzonen praten de rasechte Amsterdammers over hun eerste liefde en dat middels muziek, cabaret, comedy en spoken word. De tragiek van Frank de Boer of de schoonheid van de goal van Zlatan. Alles passeert de revue. Met een lach en een traan.

Tussen de bomen van het Amsterdamse Bostheater speelt Het Kleine Theater zomer 2026: Robin Hood.
Het klassieke verhaal over deze maatschappelijke held, die met gevaar voor eigen leven hebzucht en ongelijkheid te lijf gaat, blijkt ook vandaag de dag helaas nog steeds erg actueel. Ook nu is het tijd voor actie om armoede en ongelijkheid te bestrijden. Om de gruwelijke machthebber van het land te stoppen!
Robin en haar vrienden gaan deze strijd aan, in de bossen van Sherwood. Ze worden geholpen door de stoere Marian, de dochter van de Koning. Wat kunnen ze doen? Ze willen geen geweld, geen oorlog. Daarom verzinnen ze een slimme list
Nationale Theater Festival - Gala

Tijdens dit evenement in Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) worden de belangrijkste toneelprijzen van het jaar uitgereikt, waaronder de Theo d'Ors, de ACT Award, de Gouden Krekels en de VSCD Mime/performanceprijs.
Robbie Wallin presenteerde deze bijzondere avond in 2024 samen met Sheralynn Adriaansz. Het Gala van het Nederlands Theater is de feestelijke afsluiting van het jaarlijkse Nederlands Theater Festival in Amsterdam.

Hard/t - Poldertheater

Role: Director and composer
Among his collegeaus, Robbie created a concept & directed the youth performance Hard/t. He also created the music.

A theater performance, influenced by spoken word, hip-hop, and dance, about love as a remedy against the fear of the other. Theater creators Robbie Wallin, Yasmina Ahamiane, Kira-Nerys Kemble, Isabella D. Kovács, and 13 young actors take themselves, the city of Amsterdam, and the philosophy of the 13th-century Sufi mystics Rumi and Shams as inspiration.
DONNIE - Nationale Opera & Ballet and Polder Theater

Awards: Zilveren Krekel ‘Meest indrukwekkende Jeugdtheaterproductie’.
DONNIE is een rauwe, muzikale hervertelling van Mozarts Don Giovanni, een coproductie van Poldertheater en De Nationale Opera.
In deze bekroonde voorstelling ontmoeten opera en hiphop elkaar in de setting van een middelbare schoolklas, ondersteund door een liveband en jonge spelers tot 23 jaar.

Stadsarchief - Famirie Familie

Surinamese-Amsterdam stories from 1611.

Musical duo Josh & Robs were asked to contribute to this exhibition in the ‘Stadsarchief’. Inspired by the stories from the Famiri Familie exhibition, they created a song inspired by the stories in the exhibition.

The exhibition was also on display at the National Archives of Suriname in Paramaribo & the Zuidoost District Office.
